University Archives and Special Collections is closed for research until January 13, 2025.

Location and Hours

The University Archives and Special Collections Research Room is located in room 309 on the third floor of McDonald Library on the campus of Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio. Access is by appointment only, Monday-Thursday. Contact the University Archivist to set up an appointment prior to visiting. All researchers must complete the Patron Registration Form.

Resources for Visiting

Any individual parking on campus without a valid Xavier University faculty/staff, student, or contractor permit will be required to register their vehicle and pay a fee.The University has implemented a new mobile payment solution in designated lots and spaces across campus to provide clear and structured parking solutions for guests.
Applicable Areas:
• Two surface lots will be designated for visitors only, with specific spaces reserved in other lots. One lot will be in the lower section of University Drive directly behind Lindner Hall, while the other will be located next to Flynn Hall (a small lot in front of C-2).
• Visitors will have access to additional reserved spaces in the Alumni Center, HUB, Smith Hall, and Schott Hall lots.
How To Pay:
• Visitors will be required to register their vehicle and submit payment online. Permits can be purchased in advance, or by scanning a QR code displayed in designated lots/spaces.
• Payments will be accepted via credit and debit card.
Fee Amount:
• Daily Rates (to be reviewed and updated annually)
o Half Day (0-5 hours): $5
o Over 5 Hours: $10 maximum daily rate
