Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.
Hispanic American Heritage month is celebrated September 15-October 15, as Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua celebrate independence on September 15. In addition, Mexico celebrates its independence on September 16, and Chile on September 18. Dia de la Raza, October 12, is also in this month. These resources celebrate the Latino community's contributions to American society and culture.
