CLC Desk Services

An overview of what patrons can do at the CLC Service Desk

Holds

If you request an item from Xavier Library Collections, OhioLINK, SearchOhio, or traditional interlibrary loan (ILL), you will receive an email once the item is ready to be picked up. You will pick up your hold from the CLC Service Desk. Loan times vary, so pay attention to the due date.

We also offer contactless pickup for your holds. When you receive the email that says your hold is ready, click the link for quick pick-up. Choose a date and time. We will checkout the item for you and place it on a shelf to the left of the Service Desk.

 

Renewals

You may renew materials in person at the CLC Desk, by calling 513-745-3881, or by emailing libcirc@xavier.edu. The system will attempt to renew items for you automatically 3 days before the due date. As long as there aren't any holds and you haven't run out of renewals, it will keep renewing, up to 6 times.
