This guide is specifically customized for your Occupational Therapy courses. It provides all the links, resources, and tutorials you need to get started on any research project. Make a list of your questions and concerns as you navigate what's here, then schedule an appointment with me (or send an email) so we can talk about them. I am available throughout any stage of the research process, whether you are still narrowing a topic down or wrestling with a mountain of citations.
Try an initial search on your topic using SEARCH@XU. This will search (almost) everything the Library has access to in one fell swoop: books, articles, streaming media, and more. You can limit your results by type, publication date, language, and location (for physical collections).
The Library offers a self-paced, online tutorial called XU.tutor that provides a general introduction to library research. Module topics include developing a research question, searching a database, understanding copyright and plagiarism, and evaluating websites.
