This website was created to provide faculty members with more information regarding Quantitative Reasoning (QR) Flagged courses, and it includes the following tabs:
1. Introduction to Quantitative Reasoning: This tab provides two readings that should introduce the topic of quantitative reasoning. Please, read these articles before writing your proposal. The first article explains what is meant by QR, and why it is an important for everyone in today's society. The second article explains that QR and mathematics are significantly different skill sets.
2. Call for Proposals: This tab contains information relevant to writing your proposal.
3. QR-Flag Description for Syllabi: You will be required to include this paragraph in your syllabus, if your course carries the QR-flag. Ideally, you will explain how this general description translates into your course content, and how the described goals will be addressed.
4. Sample Proposals and Syllabi: This tab contains a few proposals and syllabi that have been approved by this sub-committee to receive the QR-flag. The committee views these proposals as well written, and strong, which made them easy to process.
