Web of Science

From the Library Home page click on the Databases button.


You can move quickly through the list by clicking on the "W" for "Web of Science." Notice the dropdown box for All Subjects (it is marked with a green star)? You can use this to find other Biology databases that we might not talk about today.


Just click on Web of Science to open the database.


We will start the process by doing an initial search using insulin release AND artificial sweeteners as our search (WARNING! This search is meant only as a sample search to show you how to use Web of Science. It is meant only to allow you to start searching for articles. You will need to further refine and explore additional articles for this assignment.)


The results list shows you the journal articles that match our search terms. Citations (green arrow) are the number of times that this article has been cited by other authors. References (blue arrow) are the number of citations to other sources that are cited in this article.
