1) Lake Eola: this lake is a 43-acre oasis in the heart of downtown. It provides amazing views of the skyline and would be an excellent place for your group to have a picnic, relax, or even have a group reflection in a different location than usual.
2) Yellow Dog Eats: known for their unique dishes such as the "Frooty Rufus," this is one of the best BBQ restaurants in Orlando. It offers moderate prices as well as quite a few vegetarian and vegan options.
3) Toothsome Chocolate Emporium: this chocolate factory is like walking into that of Willy Wonka himself. Their unique milkshakes are a must. This would be a great place to visit if your group only has a bit of spare time.
Letter Writing: since there are not many organizations that offer spur of the moment opportunities for groups like ours, a possible activity that your group could do in order to stay engaged with the trip topic is to write letters to senators. Each participant and site leader can write letters to Senator Rubio (FL) in an effort to convince him to support and protect the Dream Act.
