Trip Location Information for AB Site Leaders: Selma, AL

This LibGuide is organized by trip location for use by current AB Site Leaders. Within each location tab, SL's will find ideas for activities to do and places to go with their trip group during free time.

Free Time Ideas

1) The Downtowner: A restaurant in Selma that serves essential Alabama specialties at great prices. Check this restaurant out for some food that represents all of Alabama.

2) Kenan's Mill: This used to be a place where water-ground meal, grits, and corn were produced. Now, the site is beaming with nature and offers a glimpse into Selma's farming history.

Trip Focused Ideas

Sturdivant Hall Museum: The historic mansion is a pivotal example of southern architecture and history. It would be interesting to contrast this museum's antebellum history with the trip's emphasis on the civil rights movement.
