Library Resources: Communication 101 (Oral Communication)

This LibGuide provides some of the tips and tools to help prepare for a public speaking project. Contact Library Communication Department Liaison James Green for assistance.

The Beginning of Academic Research

The Xavier University Library Home Page is the entry point for student research. The page includes the library's online public access catalog covering all of the library's books, journals, audiovisuals, and microform materials. Search XPLORE by keyword, author, title and/or Library of Congress subject heading.

If you don't find what you need, request it online from OhioLINK, the combined library catalog of 84 colleges and universities in the State of Ohio.

Most importantly, use Search@XU. Think of Search@XU as Xavier's Google. Rather than receiving millions of hits and weeding through them to find reliable information, use Search@XU along with refining your search to "Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Journals" to find good sources QUICKLY!
