Edible Books Background

This offbeat competition was started in 1999 by Judith A. Hoffberg and has since become an international event featured on radio, television and newspapers. All works must be edible and have something to do with books: look like a book, include text to read, or illustrate a theme taken from a book or book title. 


"The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" HeLa Bread Starter

Daphne Miller's entry for "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" was a batch of HeLA Friendship bread and she brought some starter bags to share.  If you would like to create your own HeLa bread and starter kits see the recipe link below.


Edible Books 2014

Edible Books 2014 took place on Tuesday, April 15 from 3-4pm in the Conaton Learning Commons.

There were over 20 Edible entries created by faculty, staff, and students.

The winning entry was "Burger Boy" by Mallory Tulcewicz.  Mallory won a $25 gift card to Graeter's.
